So ciao! : )

FYI

I am seperating my blog into three parts; Personal/journal, scrapbooking and photography. I have not had the time to work on those blogs yet but in a few days this blog will be password protected for my personal blogging. The new scrappy blog will be here: http://theresamarie.typepad.com/proof/ and the photo one will be here: http://theresamarie.typepad.com/the_tmphoto_blog/.

Just thought I would put that up so that you know where to go. this will save me email replies which, if you know me, I am so bad at doing. lol

Anyway, thats that. Ill wait a few days to password protect this blog. : )

"Mighty mighty good man"

Yes, that song is really old and crusty but thats the only thing I can think of when searching my mind for lyrics that match the feeling I had when I came home from work today. : )

Okay, I wanted to put this down somewhere. It just may not happen much more in the future so I feel that it is im-por-tahn-tay to document this. And if you are reading but are not Theresa Marie Jasper I just want to put it out there that it may be a little sickening. Its sort of funny that as I am typing this, Roseanne on nick at nite is PMSing on Dan's birthday and doing a toast to the fact that he is her TV watching, beer demanding, doesnt get up even to go to the bathroom Rock. The pen in her ink, or something like that. And here I am, before marriage, experiening the sweet, mind-reading pen in my ink, er I think it is ink in my pen. but whatever, funny just the same. So I did do the dishes and the laundry yesterday then planned on cleaning the hardwood and tile floors today. And here comes the sickening "he's so amazingly amazing" part. Now you KNOW that you have found a keeper as in keep him forever when you can unknowingly train him to read your mind then actually DO what you had in mind. I didnt even mention OR hint to him that I was going to clean the floors and he didnt even stop there. He straightened up and put things away and took out the trash and even cleaned the rest of the kitchen. Then, to top it all off he doesnt ask for anything in return or even ask for me to notice. Of course, being the super excited freak that I am, I went crazy when I realized what he did. I didnt notice the hardwood floors I just thought it was the bathroom and the kitchen yet there was no, "Oh I did the hardwood too!" It was just, "well yea I cleaned a little." It was his day off and usually he rests by just chillaxing around the house. Not cleaning. But I never have a problem with it, I dont ever complain. Hmmmm, maybe that is my secret!? note to self. lol So anyway, this man just keeps getting better and better every day. And just when I think I have reached my limit at 7 years. Love isnt even the right word anymore. : )

Okay, throw up I know. hehe Well thats enough for today. I cant believe I blogged twice in a row. Ive gotten over having a picture for each post because I just want to document my everyday. Off to finish this episode of "Roseanne" yes I watch that, just love how real it is and I always laugh! then its sleepytime for me. : )

"A little's enough"

So my first week at the new job has been wonderful. I love it so far. I can already see the difference in my mannerisms, Im less frustrated and there is SO much less stressing. Its so nice to be in a fun and happy atmosphere, it makes the time go by faster. I love ALL of the girls I work with and getting to see them more often is a treat too. And I dont think anything can beat getting to open up boxes of FUN new product! Love that part too! We got some new stuff in today and it was fun to put it all on the shelves. So thats cool. So glad I have this, I feel lucky. : )

Ive not really had much to blog about lately. I DEVOURED Harry Potter and finished it ALL up Saturday night. I just could NOT stop. It is SOOOO good. Now I have my Nicholas racing to finish up the books. Hes only at 5, I think I already blogged about that little sitch but he has given up our movie night dates (which is fine because I have so much I need to do other than watching movies) to read. It so freakin cute, seeing him snuggled up on the couch with little Aly and a blanket just reading away. Something else to scrapbook about! lol

Ive been scrapping! For the past two weeks, it seems. I am a slow scrapper, emphasis on the slow. two weeks to do four layouts, a card, a matchbox project and a wall hanging. I finally finished up all of my stuff for the July SOMO kit Monday night but Im still on a strong search for a frame for one of the projects. We got one of those Heidi Swapp clock faces and I just never bought them when they came out because I didnt really want one of those school clocks in the house. So when I got it in the kit I CHALLENGED myself to find a non-clock use for it. And I did and I love it. Its a wall decor piece so I need a frame for it but it needs to be a shadow box type since I am pop dot crazy. I like my texture and dimension, I cant help it. : ) SO anyway I am having a hard time trying to find one that isnt like $50.00 and is 12x12. The frameless project has been at Ruban Rouge since last Wednesday but I cant wait to hang it up in my room, its so fun! I have nothing on any of my walls. Love the colors, that MM funky vintage ROCKS!

Then Yesterday I played with Brand new Scenic Route from this CHA and that was fun. Love it. So much. And I think the layout that I made is fully my most favorite layout ever. Is that a surprise? It just came together by itself. Can you tell I have nothing to talk about, Im just rambling on about scrapbooking. Thats like all I do these days. I really need to be doing laundry and dishes and purging some crap taking up precious space in our casa. I guess Ill get to that right now. hehe

So that was my little update....a little's enough. Ciao for now.

lyrics are Angels and Airwaves

"Can you dance like a hippogriff?"

Definitely been drowned in the Magical wizarding world in our house. I love it!

                                                   Details

Saw the 5th movie the night it came out and realized that it had been SO long since I had read that book. I kept getting details from the 5th and 6th book mixed up. So I decided that I needed to re-read the 6th book before I bought the 7th so I didnt miss anything or get lost. Well I just spent the last two days reading the 6th book, finished Tuesday night, bought the 7th last night and now am already half way through the 750 pages. Love it. I am so addicted. Cant. Stop.

What I love most is that Nicholas is in it with me. He gets the Harry Potter thing that I even once thought to be, "silly and juvenile." So it has been all Harry Potter over here between the both of us. He is attempting to read the 5th book so he can read the 6th and 7th. He never got into reading the books because he chose video games over reading and figured he'd just watch the movies. Well, curiousity got the best of him. I guess it doesnt help that I pore over the books like they have crack hidden within their pages. lol I think I'm gonna scrap about it too. why not? well not about the crack part. lol

Well, as you must know, the story takes place in England and they have those darling accents (I have a weakness for the accents) and it just adds so much to the story if you are actually reading the exclamations in their own tone. When I read, I sometimes get lost and am just reading it in my plain old BORING american "accent" and it sucks the fun out. So today, in between reading and *ahem* attempting to clean but continually being sucked back to the book as if the book and I were magnetic I popped in the 4th movie or pushed play since it was already in one of the 5 slots of our DVD player. surprise. and watched it to soak in their enchanting British accents. That is where I realized just how much I love "The Weird Sisters." This is a well known band in the wizard world that is actually pretty cool. And I love this little collection of clips from the movie. Watch it!

So anyway, off to be sucked back into the book. Just thought I'd update. Its been so long. Havent really had anything to blog about. All I have been up to is Reading, cleaning little by little and scrapping up with my SOMO kit.

"you will miss me when i am gone..."

"this is the last song."

Today is the last day. The last time I dress in ridiculous uniform. The last 40 minute drive. The last of putting up with disrespectful employers. The last of being underappreciated for hard work, and the last of being taken advantage of. I hope.

About to get ready for my last shift in the Takeaway room at Outback steakhouse. I was thinking all of these thoughts and I felt that I should get it down. It has been exactly FIVE years of me working there and ever since the original Proprietor left for a promotion the store and the ways it's run has all just gone downhill. And it continues to go downhill each and every day I walk in there. It used to be such a fun place to go into and make full times pay in part times work. I loved it; the people I worked for, the people I worked with, the money I made and the people and the food that I served. I am very much a people person but I am NOT a greedy people person. And its been this way for almost a year now and just finally I am being saved from it.

I have no doubt that the business and the customers will miss me when I am gone. The things I have heard that they are going to be doing with that room just make NO sense and it is so ridiculous. Not sure if I have ever mentioned the fact that since I have been working there the Takeaway sales have increased to 17% of the entire restaurants sales. Only bigger locations such as Henderson (the original in Tampa), Lakeland and Palm Harbor have similar numbers. Being that Largo is a really crappy location for a store to do well, that shows a lot. Of course I had help from the other 4 amazing girls in the room (love them all) but WE did it. And now they are making changes to how things work in that room only so the managers have to do less work and pay less money to the employees. Whatever, I am over it. Ill let them feel the consequences. They will realize in time. I dont care really, because I needed something to throw it over the edge so I could get out of there. I need the change, it is all for the good. Everything happens for a reason. I know it. Thats how my entire life has been so far.

So about the blessing I recieved. It just fell into my lap without me even searching for it. I actually gave up searching for another job because I could not find one with the same pay and hours. BUT, good things come when you are not even looking for them. So I start working at my heaven of a scrapbook store this week! SO. Freakin'. excited. Such a great group of women and a great atmosphere as well. Not to mention the scrappy goodness all around. I dont think Lisa realizes what she has done for me. There will be SO much more opportunity to get the Photography business up and going. I will have so much more opportunity to lose the weight I have been needing to pull off of me. Such great things ahead...and you know how I LOVE having things to look forward to. : )

Okay, must get ready.....for the last time.

Lyrics are The All-American Rejects

One for you, and one for you...

Yes, I am such a dork. Lol.

Thanks for playing ladies! Its been a blast! Wendy and Laura, send me your addys so I can get your goodies out to you!

Im off to clean, pour me a Kahlua and cream and pump up the music! not necessarily in that order. : )

"Its always more fun..."

...to share with everyone!"

Okay, so we were cleaning up at CHA and we had all of the extras from the make and takes sitting there. I was given the offer to take it home and use it up but I thought, "You know, there are SO many people who loved this stuff and could NOT wait to get their hands on it, so why dont you share it with those who do not have it already?" I shared my thoughts with the rest of the October Afternoon team and we all agreed that that would be so much fun. So we continued to add more to the pile piece by piece to give away to you! Everyone at the show was gone so we agreed that we'd do it on my blog instead. So here it is, this product is not that far away from shipping to everyone but who wouldnt love to have it NOW and before anyone else!?

Oagiveaway_2 Oagiveaway2_3

Here are a few photos of what I have to give to you. Stamps and rubons from the make and take table, and the papers that were on display at the booth. How cool? Well we are gonna have to test your knowledge and see just how much you want these goodies, lol. There are some big fans out there, **cough cough Katrina cough** and I think its only fair and way more fun to have this all go to the ones who want it most. Plus, arent the things in life always better when you have earned them? : )

I will split the goods in two since there are two of each paper in the line and there will be two lucky winners. So here we go, whoever answers the most questions correctly first will win. yay, Im excited!

  1. When did the first October Afternoon product become available to the public.
  2. What kit club are the October Afternoon stamps featured in?
  3. What was the booth number at CHA?
  4. What type of products were released in the October Afternoon debut. (hint: there are 3)
  5. What is the only thing you need to use to adhere an OA rubon to your project?
  6. The October Afternoon stamps smell like _______________?
  7. The October Afternoon stamps are made from the highest quality photopolymer and will NEVER ____________. (hint: its a color)
  8. Currently, How many Design team members are there.

SO FUN! I am so excited to see all of your answers! If you do not know some of them, its all good! Answer the ones you do know and you could still win, you never know what everyone else knows! Does that make any sense? lol Guessing is fun too!

The fun wont stop until two people have guessed correctly, so keep on keepin' on!! And here's a little encouragement from little Aly, she loves you! (this photo was taken as I was typing up this post!) Try not to be too distracted by her adorableness. : ) Now if you could only smell her then you'd understand why I never get any scrapping done!

Adorablealy_5

lyrics are Jack Johnson. From the Curious George soundtrack. Its awesome!

"Quicker than a ray of light I'm flying."

Well I was. I did. I am home now. Been home for about three hours...(in the best madonna imitation I am capable of...) "And I fe-eel like I just got home, And I fe-eel."

UGHSSHGHGGHGS. That translates into one hugenormous sigh of exhaustion, relief, and excitement. CHA can really wear a girl out, but it was so much fun!

There was such a great response for October Afternoon, I couldnt count the number of times I heard people say how it was their favorite product either at the show or ever. There was so much buzz and I am so excited to see where it all takes us. : )

Here are two of my layouts from the booth. This first one is my favorite layout ever, hands down. It warmed my heart SO much to hear strangers' thoughts on it IN PERSON. Super neat.

october_afternoon006

You can see more photos of the booth here and here. Hope you like it!

For now I need to crawl in bed with my gorgeous MOST missed hunk of man-candy but just wanted to update and share a little surprise. I have some of the booths extra goodies to give away tomorrow! (this should be a good consolation for not posting the sneaks. yes?) So go catch up on your October Afternoon facts and see if anyone has shared any details about OA from the CHA experience so you can win this "fly" scrappy "shizzle." (yes, I am stuck a little on the slang flash cards I found in a gift shop in chicago that I almost got. lmao)

I always love a good quickie...

My day started off wonderfully. : )

Well the second wonderful start of the day was the knock on my door and a wonderfully white box left at the doorstep. not going to tell you about the first one on here. lol I knew what it was right away but was in denial that it got here that fast. Low and behold, it was exactly what I was hoping for - fresh, new, hot off the press scrappy goodies!

So I'll tell you a dainty little story. A sweet brilliant man and a sweet brilliant woman loved each other and they loved scrapbooking. They started a super cool company, worked ultra hard to produce super cool stuff, picked some super cool girls to use the stuff and sent it to them in a white box. One girl received this white box this morning and almost peed herself at how awesome the contents were. They were super cool. See, the super cool girls did not know that there would be super cool paper and super cool rubons made by the company. They only knew of the super cool stamps. Well, there was super cool paper and rubons made by the sweet brilliant man and the sweet brilliant woman and they all were beyond super cool. The end.

So yea, that was a really dorky way to tell the story but it is all TRUE! October Afternoon is the super cool company and I am one of the said super cool girls although Im not sure how much I live up to that "super-coolness."

As a bonus, I was off tonight so I got to hang out with some cool ladies at the scrapbook store and play with it all. including one really neat lady with an english accent. SO love the accent. especially on little children - melt my heart. and to think, people wonder why the hell I love Harry Potter so much. they have little english accents for god's sake, how can you not love that?! And thats how my day ended, creating. well other than long conversation with my gorgeous man and this here blog post. Nice. : )

Just wanted to post really fast before bed, Ill share little sneakies tomorrow. Ta-tah! yea, didnt end up being so "quickie." I get greedy sometimes. : )
