oh my goodness, all I did today was laugh. I love laughing, its my favorite thing to do. The only thing I love more is accidentally making other people laugh really hard. Thats my favorite. : )

I've been busy on my HOF entry, I just felt it would be a little redundant blogging day after day about my HOF entry. Ive been getting requests and DEMANDS to update my blog so here I am. blogging. in all my blogging glory.

So about that HOF entry, Im half way done and way happy about whats coming out. YAY ME! there Im done, end of HOF discussion, until further notice. HOF entry. just wanted to get one more in for the last time. maybe one more, HOF entry. lqtm.

I have no silly or cute pictures to share, not really been in the random photo taking mood.

Nicholas has found my long lost brother. the best comedian I have EVER seen. I think he's even scrapbookable because I think nick might have a little guy crush on him. : ) (he didn't deny it when I just told him what I typed. lqtm) if you watch all 5 parts, you'll get what lqtm means.

Im posting the special from comedy central here in the hopes that it wont make loading the page too long and also that you may have to pee in your pants, "you're not cool unless you pee your pants." If you appreciate randomness as much as I do and can respect a comedian who doesnt have to discriminate or demean anyone to make america laugh, or even if you own a hummer then you MUST watch all five of these parts to see everything he has to say. It is run to the bathroom funny or in cool people's case, need to change your pants funny. I'm so glad to have found him. : )

so yeah, laughed all day. Aly and Nicholas, Eileen and Stacy (at work, had to pee there too) Aly and Nicholas again, then Demetri Martin. Ill never forget him and his jokes. They'll go on forever in my head causing me to laugh, or just smile, at the most random of times therefore causing the people around me to wonder. that's the best, I really enjoy that. making strangers wonder, kind of like when you stand near ATM machines and yell, "got it" and then run away. : )

It was my day off today! How fun??! and I get another one tomorrow : )

I did a little cleaning today, attacked that scrapolanche. Its just a little pile now.

Nicholas came home from work early so I asked him out on a date. hehe We decided on dinner and a movie you know, that ole' chestnut and it was to be Carrabba's and Night at the Museum which we both have really been wanting to see since the first preview. We got all purtied up and were on our way after snapping a few cute pics. We never do that so that's proof that this was a especially special night. : ) Dinner was nice, we ended up getting our meals free. We waited for our food for over 45 minutes and right when we told the waitress to just cancel it and take it off the bill the proprietor came over with our meals and insisted that we enjoy them on him. Sounded sorta messy and dirtay tehe but we accepted and he walked away so we just ate them on our plates. : ) We got some Mezzaluna chicken and cheese ravioli in a tomato cream sauce, mmmm and Chicken and spinach Cannelloni mmm too to share both of them. It was a nice dinner, and it only ended up costing us 21.00! We tipped our really awful waitress phat because I am cursed due to working in a restaurant. darn my mother for not supporting me and making me pay for everything through high school and college. lol

Since we are so smart and are always prepared, we looked at the later movie times (well Niko did anyway) just in case we ended up being late. Since we missed the first one we went to target to pick up our usual Milk duds and Snicker bites. Nick eats the Duds, I eat the bites and we always get a cherry coke at the theatre. I need to scrap that, lol. We looked around and dilly-dallied just for fun. I love target, one can never get bored there. Passing by the scrap area, you know just by chance, a cute little tote caught my eye. I have been looking into getting one of those AMM ones but noone has them locally and I just cant get past that instant gratification thing to buy online. I was going to get the medium one in kiwi but this one at Target was just too good to pass up. It was black and had tons of neat pockets and such and it was only 14.99. I love it. I already Heidi Swapp'ed it out! Maybe Ill post a pic tomorrow. Now the next thing I need is a Making Memories runway tote in lime and I'll be good to go for croppin beyond the humble abode. trying to get used to this making stuff outside of my home jig. With Ruban Rouge crops and get togethers and late night scrappy-ness with Jamie, Ill be doing a lot more of that cropping thing.

At the theatre, we got there early for a change and the auditorium was empty and HUGE. oh goodness. Can I just tell you how much I love living here in Palm Harbor. I absolutely love the Woodlands theaters. When we lived in Clearwater we had three theaters close by. Two were in a strip mall and poopy and the third was just built and big but it was sort of a drive. We now live about 10 minutes away from this one in Oldsmar and it just rocks. Anyway, the movie was super! We laughed so much me really dorky and loud for all of the two other couples to hear. they were laughing at me laughing at some parts. lol thats fine by me I'm a dork and just the fact that I made them laugh makes me happy! I definitely recommend it, don't read what those dumb critics have to say. Besides, I think the population speaks for itself, its done $24 million and its number one right now in the box office ratings. or whatever its called, I read that on-line somewhere today. Ben Stiller is my kinda dark haired, green eyed (one of the reasons why I am still completely in love with nicholas after 6.5 years, love that combo) make your sides hurt laughing piece of man. Not initially such the hottie, but I see people from their inside and with a humor and talent like his, SWOON. : )

Well that was my day in a nutshell. A rather large nutshell but shelly just the same. : ) By the way, I noticed the title and the fact that I mentioned how neat Benster is, well the dream-guy I'm speaking of is the one I call mine, you know, the one that knows of my existence. My dark haired, gorgeous green-eyed, make my sides hurt laughing Nicholas. Just so thats clear. : ) and he is so totally initially the hottie.

Ive been busy inventing. This HOF contest has me racking my brain for anything new, as if everything hadn't been done already. But I managed to find something cool. I even wrote a poem about it as I was doing it. just in case you didn't already know how much of a dork I am here is a prime example. Read this in a Shel Silverstein tone:

• I found a technique.
• It is really neat.
• Feels really cool,
• looks nifty too,
• It just cant be beat. 

I had to use the bullets because I know nothing about html. Anyway, Ive been saying that over and over while doing my techie on my layout once I realized that what I wanted to do. I was thinking for a half hour straight, just staring into my scrap desk area and it just HIT me. If I've told you what I wanted to do for my techie, its not that. I just thought of this one tonight and it has nothing to do with the other one. the old one wasn't very innovative and I definitely think its been done before if not my exact way then in another. I actually think Erin Lincoln did a flat version of it on a CK video. After thinking about that, I realized it was time to invent. this is a really long side note. Ill end the alter voice now. : ) Its so cool. Whats funny is that the page I was working on when I was inspired to implement the techie was actually going to be a free page, it would have worked for the color assignment but I wanted that to be created with the assignment in mind from the start of the page. I'm really glad I get to use this page for the techie assignment. The pictures ROCK and I used two 4x6s which will most likely win me some brownie points! So anyway, I'm excited to get that out of the way. I'm not finished with the page but I'm close to. I'm so excited. : ) and such a dork, I know.

They're photos of when my boys (his nephews, but my sweet sweet babies) came to visit us at our new condo for the first time this past summer. We were walking home from going swimming. Im pretty surprised that this mundane Sunday turned out to be so productive. I woke up with a pounding headache then I was nauseous 15 minuten later. Nicholas made me feel so much better after medicining, (that's what we say) hydrating and feeding me, and then kissing my eyes and my forehead. thats my favorite part about being ill, he always does that. the only other favorites are not having to do anything and being taken care of. although both of those can come back and bite me in the butt. I ended up feeling better just in time for me to go to work which was lucky because heaven forbid me calling into work sick, you need to have a doctor's note for everything. seriously, who goes to the doctor over a sick stomach and a headache. Its enough to be immobile but surely not enough to see a doc. stupid restaurant business. cant wait to get out of it thats for sure. After work I got to sit and eat with Kate, one of my favorite work buddies. She works strictly in Togo with me. I just love her so much, we get each other. She makes my life so happy and Im so glad to be able to call her my friend. I wish we could do that more often, it was so nice.

I came home from work and just scrapped. Spent a little time with the man laughing at Aly and chatting in front of the T.V. we do that often. This was my Sunday. : )

Long time, no blog. Although I must say, I have been doing a good job at keeping up with my entries....this week. lol And me no bloggy on Friday is technically not my fault because I came to do a little entry, as if those existed in my blogging world, and typepad was down! So anyway, Thursday and Friday were the same old same old, work and scrappin with some cleaning thrown in there too.

I had such a wonderful Saturday. I woke up, took a shower and went straight to my absolute favorite place EVER, Ruban Rouge. I didnt even eat. but I did help Nicholas with some school stuff. Lisa invited me to scrap with her and some fun ladies gathering there to crop together. It was nice. To get away and make stuff, share some laughs and some gossip none of which I knew anything about or anyone involved but gossip is gossip. Lisa and her generous self enlightened me about the fun inspiration classes coming at the store every other month. She has some wonderful ideas, let me tell you. Each day I spend with her I love her more and more. I dont think I've ever heard of a business person care SO much about her customers, she really has thought of some good stuff, just selfless stuff, things that we all need and will help us scrapbook more and more efficiently. I must agree with my fellow scrappers and team-mates Linda and Kelly, Lisa is one of the most generous people I have ever met. To some, she may come off a little "tough"I just think it is hilarious but once you have a real conversation with her its easy to see how good her heart is. plus she has really good taste in music. thats's cool. I think I'll definitely keep her around. : ) just kidding, Im lucky to have her in my scrapbooking world, ultra lucky.   

Speaking of lucky, can I just tell you how awesome these two are? All the while, as Im slicing fresh sheets of paper and attaching brads to cardstock, Nicholas, my most wonderful man-candy (pronounced mahn-cahndee) is at home folding clothes and doing dishes. He is happy that I am doing something fun and although he wont go on an errand for me, he is totally okay doing chores, WITHOUT me asking or even hinting! I'd like to say that's six years of good training, but I am positive that hes just that good. One good catch. I think I've done well, dontcha think? Aly, well she is just a doll, enough said. Im so fricken lucky, I think Ill keep them both. : ) And those green eyes, yep, he's definitely a keeper.

I'm really excited that Story of my Own is now on a waitlist for subscriptions! I think that is so cool. Jon, one of the owners, called me on Thursday and told me that! It's always such a pleasure talking to them. Jon and Kim are such sweet, genuine people I look forward to there being something we need to discuss over the phone. I am really SO so happy that the kits are doing so well. Those are some ROCKin' kits, and everyone should have a subscription. Check them out if you haven't already, Kim's coordinating talents are out of this world and like I've said a million times, those stamps are to die for! love them so very much. Im so honored to be a part of it all. Look out for October Afternoon's debut at CHA summer, it's going to be awesome. :)

Well, Im off to work some on my HOF entry and get some sleepy. ta-ta!

Theresa's Top Ten Terrific Tuesday...

Oooooh, that was clever. It just came to me.

So yesterday I was too tired from being SO excited to blog. I picked up my Top Ten issue from CK at Ruban Rouge on my way to work and was SO excited! I had to of squealed like 4 times! This is my first layout publication and it was in Creating Keepsakes! How freakin cool!? I was their Fresh Face for their special Top Ten issue, which rocks - totally. Tracey White was so nice and actually appreciated my dorkiness, that was cool because I am a really big dork when Im excited about something. :)

I went to work and all of my friends were more happy for me than I thought. Kate and Eileen, two of my favorite people ever, really went overboard. Kate told everyone and even her boyfriend. She doesnt scrap so I was really surprised at hw big of a deal she made out of it. It made me happy. I just showed it to her, totally not being dorky and she really made my heart feel mushy. I love her. Anyway, it was a really cool day.

I havent been able to scrap for a few days. I need to. I am having coloring problems with my photos amd my stupid PC laptop so its really uninspiring me. my photos always come out way darker than they show on my screen and its pissing me off. Bringing me down and thats just not good right now. I went shopping today for a fun dinner for my grandfather's birthday. Rachel my cousin and I were going to take him and my grandmother out to dinner at Bonefish but we thought it would be nicer and mre personal if we cooked for him. They go out to eat all of the time and thats all my family does, everyone's birthday is at a restaurant. They took him out to eat on his actual birthday and its just the same 'ole thing. We didnt save any money by cooking, it would have been a hell of a lot easier to just go out but I wanted that special feeling to be connected to it. Something he'll remember. It was really nice, he left very happy tonight and that made me feel good. It was just them two, Rachel and I. Nicholas had to work. I had a big mess to clean up afterwards but it really was nice. :)

After I cleaned up I got to chat with Tara Whitney again. This time it was on Scrapper's Bliss and it was fun. She just rocks. Such a cool person. :)

I just noticed I end all of my paragraphs in a :). Ive been doing it a lot lately. I love them. : )

Other than working on my HOF entry there is nothing else new. But I should get back to work! Thanks for stopping by!

What a neat day I had. Not an ordinary monday at all.

(if you stick around and read my ultra long and boring monday entry you might just find something neat for yourself.)

Neither of us had to work. That was nice. Nicholas just started a new semester today and had a class tonight so we couldnt have a date night but we did have a splendid day spent together. We woke up late, stayed in bed together late, ate together, took a shower together yes young people do these things. dont like it? too bad, and got ready to go to the mall together. We were going to International Plaza to figure out things with a handbag I ordered and to get some clothes for Nick.

It was a nice drive over, we live about 30-45 minutes away from the mall so I brought some scrappy books and mags, a sketch book and a pen for idea jotting. I felt sick the whole way there though but magically I felt better once we arrived. isnt it amazing how things work out like that?! We did a little shopping, found some good finds for Nicholas and I gracefully abstained from purchases for myself, saving up for a macbook pro. I have this thing where I spend a lot of money. especially on scrapbook related and home decor items. : ) We got a little lunch and stopped by the Cheesecake Factory for a delish piece of Caramel Pecan Turtle cheesecake. We had to get home fast to beat rush hour and so I could make a visit to the most fabulous Ruban Rouge. Havent been to my happy place in a very long time. I think its been 5 days. Well the one poopy thing was the darn rush hour traffic. Alas, we did end up getting stuck in it. Tampa, where International Plaza is located, is the super city for all things crazy. Its where the millions of people work in their millions of offices and misc. workplaces that have workdays ending at 4-6pm. well Im sure its not millions but it sure does seem like it. and they're ALL mad! Its also where the Tampa International Airport is and that creates a lot of traffic in itself. So anyway, Traffic = slow driving = getting nowhere = eating up time = no Ruban Rouge. : ( Stupid Traffic. The upside to this trafficky thing is that Nicholas and I had lots of time to be silly and laugh over me changing the words to songs to be well, silly. I'm such a goon. : )

Happy thing number 2wo of today was this coincidence of music. I heard this neat techno-discoey song about three weeks ago on the radio and for some odd reason I loved it. I thought it was really odd but I just had a happy fun feeling listening to it and I just wanted to boogie. You know, break it down Monica Gellar in a fat suit style. So I think I heard it once more on t.v. in a commercial and maybe another time on the radio. But I never looked into downloading it. Well we heard it today twice and each time I told Nicholas just how much I love it. He was like, "Its alright." Well anyway, I get home and its on T.V. again. Whatever, makes sense, I listen to/watch the same channels. So when I plug in my IPod and Itunes pops up I minimize it as always. But when I come back to it later, guess what they're offering for their free download of the week?!! Shiny Toy Gun's "Le Disco." I freaking clicked that button faster than....well fast. You get the point. So I downloaded it. and listened to it. and loved it. I danced. then smiled. and now Ill add it to my "on the way to work" playlist which includes "Fergalicious," "Wind it up" and "Foxtrot, Unicorn, Charlie, Kilo." Im excited. Im listening to it right now as I type this and most likely as you are reading this. : ) Thats how much it rocks.

Im adding it to here so you can enjoy it too. Im not feeling the music video so much, kinda imagined something more fun and colorful but whatever. the music works for me itself, just dont watch the video. I dont recommend it anyway. I think I'll be having nightmares now. ; )

So in scrappy world. Kim has put the January Kit up at Story of my Own. Can I just say Delish. mmmmm, you must order this. If you haven't already. She has a freakin talent for coordinating I swear. And arent those stamps just to die for. Thats definitely my absolute favorite part. Getting to play with one of a kind stamps before anyone else. I drool over the photos when they're posted and rip apart my box when I get it in the mail. that's after I have freaked out the postman waiting for it to come. not really, but Im sure if I had no life I probably would. I can not wait to play with everything, so lucky I am! 

I finished one of my layouts for my HOF entry. Jamie needs to call me for another goof filled night of scrappin and laughin so she can see it. I am so satisfied with it. I ran my fingers over its textured goodness for about 3 minutes, held it away from me and glared at it for about 2 then put it on display for my easy peeking pleasure. : ) I also have one other Assignment done. I did it a long time ago and I didnt even do it for HOF I was just holding onto it for something good. It was a keeper and I was being selfish. good thing too because it fits Assignment H perfectly. Probably the only photo I have that I feel really screams extraordinary. good stuff. Ill update more on my HOF status later, my right pinky is killing me right now. you know from the shift key, making capitals. i think from now on ill leave the uppercase out and finish off in lowercase. just like my good friend celeste. i bet her pinky never cramps. clever girl. gee that was a really long sidenote. so, finishing off in lowercase - check.

in other scrappy news, a neat pea just entered a really cool word into my vocab; "crapolanche" totally lovin' it. so something i would say. hehe and here's a visual as to why:

yeh, definitely about to come sliding down. its happened before. not with this specific pile but its happened and it was messy. although i wouldn't call this a "crap" olanche because its filled with such yummy scrappy stuff from my favorite companies. its more of a "scrapolanche." : ) i like friendly "olanches" and thats just what this is. do you have one?

okay now that ive put you to sleep at your desk with my mundane but splendid monday and lowercase-ness its rakkin time! i told you it would be beneficial to stick around.

ive been inspired by the most wonderful and beautiful, 'psycho mother-in-law putting up with,' Kimberly Kwan to pass along and start another "blog hopper rak." its such a fun a cool idea, i think everyone who has a blog, stuff to rid of and a need for interesting things to happen by giving things away should do this! i changed up the rules a bit to make it little more fun. : )

I love music. it is my inspiration for everything. so i wanna hear about your music. post a comment about your favorite music right now, that song that moves you, the song that makes you wanna bust a move. post a new song that you just realized what the lyrics were and now you love it even more, or post a song that is just funny and makes you like it just because it is just so ridiculous. i wanna know what your songs are for this month! Ill ask Nicholas to choose a lucky number and the winner will recieve a little rak. once you receive your rak, blog about the blog hoppin' and do the same thing, making a chain reaction. Ill try and make it something really cool, almost as cool as shiny toy guns. : )

Harry Potter and the Tortuous Adhesive

Loved having Saturday off. What a productive day. sort of.

So as I was getting ready for my HOF scrapping brigade a most wonderful announcement came on Disney Channel that they would be playing Harry Potter tonight! How perfect?! I freaking love Harry Potter. I love the world it puts me in as if our mundane one never existed. Such good mojo for my happy heart. Thanks Disney, Thanks Harry. : )

Aly joined with me in the scrappiness, she was brewing up some ideas with me. so cute. When I came to my chair this is what I happend upon, how adorable?! She does this sometimes, she likes to sit in my lap as I work in the scrap area, either on the computer or playing with product. When I catch her like this I think of it as her way of saying, "I'm ready to work with you mama." This day was especially cute since I would need her luckiness on my HOF entry.

Then I was browsing the web for a moment, just a little scrap break and this is what she was doing. Such a little stinker. I think she was trying to help me because she would look back at me then sniff around the page then look at me again and up around my desk. It was so funny. She did this for about 5 minutes after I caught her. Who knows how long she was doing it before I realized what she was doing, and how could I not snap some photos!? Love this little creature. We don't know exactly what she is but she ain't no dog and that's for positive.

 

Oh and *ehem* excuse the sloppiness, er I mean the Creative mess. There are so many other things I could do than clean up, you know like scrap!

So the entry is coming good so far. I have 1 layout complete and three in the making. I had a lot of fun today mixing it up by shuffling layouts. Instead of just working on one I have three going, I like the way it helps me get things down. Lovin' the process.

However, I hate when you're trying to get things done and be productive and your stupid herma adhesive roller keeps being stupid. The backing to the used strip was getting stuck to the sticky of the unused strip inside the little container and it would roll out so that you cant adhere anything. Not sure if I made any sense, but if you've had this problem you probably know what I'm talking about. I just think the thing is so old and its gotten so gunked up that its time to retire and buy another one. Little hermie has been a trooper though, aside from the torture he decided to put me through today. Not very nice. I need luck not schmuck! : )

On my little break to the grocery store I went to Target. I was going to just get page protectors for an inspiration notebook Ive been ripping up magazines for and meaning to put together for months, but of course I cant walk out of there without spending at least $30. the super Target rule is $70. Well I found some remarkably cute pillows for our couch. Ive been trying to find some cute ones and make some too but never find the right ones of have the time. Well these are uber cute and they just happened to be on sale when I came closer! Yay me! Ill post a pic tomorrow! mostly because that'll motivate me to get my booty on here and post an entry. haha clever me. So that was fun. I heart Target.

Resolving....just slowly.

   

Yes it has been some time since I have graced the blog entries with my thoughts...so Ive made it a bold bulletpoint on my list of things to do today. : ) I've noticed a major rise in my hits due to the lovely Story of my Own Design Team area and the wonderfully fun Ruban Rouge blog. I also have noticed that I have frequent visitors so, hey you, yes YOU........thanks. : ) Im resolving to update more because of you, oh and because this is supposed to be for me to have my life documented when scrapping isnt an option but so far im not so motivated to do it just for me! hehe

So whats new? Well I had a poopy Christmas. At least as far as family goes, Nicholas and I had a splendid first Christmas on our own. My family decided to have Christmas at a meeting lodge rather than my Grandparent's house so that we all had room and a place to sit. Im sure we could have done just fine but my family is s impossible and last minute about everything so it lasted a whole 2 hours and we went our seperate ways. Not so Christmasy for me. My Aunt (my Grandmother's "baby") stole them and invited them to her in-laws for dinner both Christmas-Eve and Christmas! Gr. So anyway, Nicholas and I came home with Aly and we had a nice little Christmas roast and yummy Christmas sides and it was nice. We both got everything we wanted from each other and he even gave me cute little surprises! He scrapped a card for me just like on my birthday and it had a cute little amazon credit reciept that he exchanged all of his loose change for. which was a lot. Thats a cute little story but Ill share it later. : )

New Years Eve we both worked but he got home just after the ball dropped. Rachel, my sweet twin cousin, stayed with us to celebrate and we watched one of my favorite movies, Monster House. That was a fun little night, we never really have ever gone all out for New Years. Never has been a big deal for us. I do have cute memories of our New Years together from when we were younger...so sweet.

I really have been trying to update this thing and make it a daily task but Id always rather be scrapping, right!? I know this is so SO boring reading all of this blah bleh stuff about my boring mundane life so Ill Jazz it up a bit with some super fun news!

Im so excited to say that my layouts and projects are up for December at Story of my Own. Kim has created the Design Team page and its so fun. not liking the photo so much but thats all I could come up with, not so experienced at the self portraits yet, something I should definitely work on this year. I have lots of pages I want to get scrapped, things that I want to document and have forever but I never have photos to use on them and some self portraits would be really useful, so more Self portraits - check. I absolutely love everything that Kim does with those kits, she has a talent for mixing and coordinating product. Im not sure if many people know this but Story of my Own is especially different than most other kits because they always have a set of original and fun stamps from October Afternoon. Kim creates stamps to go specially with each kit and does a fantastic job at it! Seriously, if you ever were considering signing up for the kits or havent checked them out yet, do it! And in other fun and exciting news Lisa Allarde-Johnson, the owner and mastermind behind the one and only Ruban Rouge, has invited me to be on her design team. I am really so honored. Lisa, being the humbled person she is has no idea just HOW MUCH her store rocks the scrapping world and thinks Im crazy for BEING SO FREAKING EXCITED AND HONORED to design for Ruban Rouge. I dont know, Ive never been known to be "cool" and "suave" about exciting things and big news. Im just a let the world know how I really feel in my heart type of person. If I think you're wonderful, Im going to tell you, ya know? Well its official now, and I can't tell you how lucky I am.

Oh and I've officially decided to enter the CK HOF contest. I linked that for both you and me! I was leaning more towards yes since the rules came out but I was never "for sure." Well, now it is definite and Im working on the pages and brainstorming those ideas right now. Cross your fingers for me. I totally think that luck plays a BIG role in the judging! hehe

So that's about all I got, I think we're good for now. Ill be sure to let ya'll know if anything else exciting happens around here. Lord knows I'm ready for it. In the meantime Im scrapping like crazy (if staring blankly at a partially finished page counts) and getting ready for my Saturday night off!
