High pitched voices on a Saturday afternoon.

EEEEEEK! I woke up today with a package on my lap. I knew what it was when I saw it, something really awesome with some really awesome stamps inside.

Kim at Story of my Own was keeping a secret I think by not telling us we were getting the ONE thing from CHA that I really wanted. Its a Heidi Swapp ONE thing. Also, a few other freakin cool things from CHA that havent even hit the stores yet. Aly was getting all excited because of my high pitched screams, she kept turning around in circles and jumping up trying to see what mama was going crazy about. THIS KIT ROCKS. I cant wait to play with everything. I got my camera and took photos to share but then I realized that the sneak peek hasnt even been put on the site yet so it wouldnt be nice to post a photo here. There is still a lot of February left. SO then I took a photo of a little ditty Im working on right now instead. Mainly because I wanted to put my excitement into words and document it for me to read later, especially the Aly part, and I feel like I cant blog unless I have a fun photo something to go with the entry. So here it is.

   

It says on the cover, "Something to brag about." I saw the new Teresa Collin's stuff in the store and immediately picked this up knowing anything that was made from it would ROCK. Love this album. Its just envelopes glued together but there's just something so awesome about the way it was executed. So Im ultra excited to get it finished. Ill share the inside when Im done, its looking might cute so far. Im using the new Cosmo Cricket dutch girl line and its making my life happy right now. : )

So the book is a little "modern" brag book. Whenever I tell stories about my little men or Nick or Aly people always ask for pictures. I feel like a horrible girlfriend/mama/aunt when I dont have any with me. So this will solve all of my problems. It will also be a place for me to record things they say or do and things I need to scrapbook. So thats that.

Last night was fun. I did a make and take at Ruban Rouge and I survived! I was a nervous nelly, it being my first time teaching other scrapbookers. I feel so dumb showing women way older than me how to do something, like, "what does she know, she's 21." LOL But they all were so gracious and gentle with me for my first time. Then, I shopped. that, of course, was my favorite part. : )

I lost my paper piercer so I got a new one of those. Got some awesome MM anthology buttons for my little project, and finally got the MM instant setter and hole punch, my new best friend. time to throw out that stupid hammer bee-ess and join in the cool scrapper's ranks. Love it, totally my new favorite tool. sorry matty, (my basic grey magnetic mat), but we've been together for a few months now and.....it was time I found something to light my fire again. You're old news, but still in my top 5. lol

So I gotta do the working thing tonight. poop. I better make some money for pulling me away from my new scrappy stuff that I didnt pay for. (the SOMO kit, lol what were you thinking? I can't steal!)

And now I'm back, from outer space.

Well not really in the literal sense anyway. No, unfortunately I did not visit outer space. Maybe in one of the crazy dreams that I have or maybe whilst daydreaming, but I assure that my body has not been probed by the things I fear most. lol, being the insane Harry Potter fan that I am, I just felt like saying, "they who shall not be named." mainly because I hate the word, "aliens." shiver.

So being the "retarded blogger" that I am, (thank Lisa for pointing that one out) I will make it up by sharing some fun photos. Nothing too exciting so dont get all worked up, hehe. Just some things Ive been working on here and there, the reason for my lack of blogging-ness.

I made cannolis for Nicholas for Valentines day this year. He comes from a LARGE Italian/sicilan family and this is one of his favorite things among a LARGE variety of dishes and desserts from their family recipes. He always randomly asks me, "You know what I would love right now? A freakin' cannoli." He hasnt mentioned them lately but I figured that Valentines day would be the best time to learn how to make them. They ended up being a little expensive, but only for the first go round, the main ingredient in the dough is italian wine, but SO worth it. He even shared a few with me. Heavenly YUM. I have discovered that I am a mighty fine Cannoli maker. : ) The best part? Him saying, "The smell reminds me of being a little kid." Melt my cannoli lovin' heart. They always say that the best way to a man's heart is through his stomach, but who knew that would also be the fastest way to mine? Through his stomach. : )

I've been workin on this for a little bit. We were making these for the inspiration classes at Ruban Rouge. SO FUN! Im really excited about these monthly classes because I think Ill take alot from doing them. Like this awesome inspiration journal. I wouldnt have this rockin book right now if it werent for the classes. I am so happy with it! I love running my fingers over the texture. Ahhhh, texture. It may just be my favorite thing about scrapping, NEVER a full digi girl here. That's how I started scrapbooking was fully digital and never again. Texture is what DRIVES me wild, (oooh, that sounded a little sexual.) you'll always see/feel the lumpy bumpy 3-D on everything I do. I wanted my cover to be

so inviting and inspire me itself. The Color combo is one of my absolute favorites and I LOVE embossing and/or the embossed look! Just like my pages I wanted a simple but unobvious title and I want to add more metal and transparencies. I love the look of bright patterns on ledger and little clumps of detail. Everytime I look at this cover I am inspired and want to scrapbook and that is exactly what I was aiming for. Score!

I am so glad that we did these, Ive been needing to do one for a while. It was that thing that's always pushed to the tomorrow to-do list. This will be my little buddy from here on out. I need to name him. You think? I love naming things. lol. My car: Ms. Jackson. lol a little Outkast love. Actually my current car is Ms. Jackson the second. My little Kia from High school was the original Ms. Jackson. I'd rather not say why on the internet. If you are really curious, ask me in person. lol So anyway, INSPIRATION, to get me out of the ruts like the one in which I'm currently presiding . Loving those fashion mags right now. : )

Played with some Luxe for a make and take at tomorrow nights crop at Ruban Rouge. These are the little die-cut purses with coordinating die cut tags and such. It was a fun little project. The pink one with the blank title area is going to be the make and take. The inside has pockets meant for a gift card or a little secret message. So cute to hold giftcards for a little girl's day out. 

I added some fun stuff to the others for samples of what you could do with them. The black one is a little mini book. Im going to add the places I love to shop and want to shop more often. Cute little project, because what girl doesn't love shopping?

Well that's all Ive got for now. Im working on a little envelope accordian mini album with the new Dutch Girl Cosmo Cricket right now and its coming out super cute. I cant wait for the finished product, thats my favorite part. Only downfall, you can't use pop dots in a folded album. poop. I'll get over it. Hoping this will get me out of the rut Im in though. I need some finished gratification. : )

Its done. Over. I actually entered HOF. please excuse my creative mess. Just so glad I accomplished such a big thing, Im so glad with what I came up with, such fun layouts that I never would have done otherwise. I obviously did this to win, I mean thats why we all entered. Makes sense, I know I didnt just spend the last month and countless hours putting together an entry of my best work just for laughs and giggles. HOF isnt the most amazing thing to me in the world of scrapbooking, I actually dont know what is, but I am going to be waiting for that call just like everyone else. I just wont lie about it. hehe And if that call doesnt come, I won't be crying. I'll feel a little bummed out and sort of annoyed like anyone else would, but no tears. I promise. (never have actually cried over something scrapbook related, well except for this one time that I was sleep deprived, PMSing and chronically craving chocolate, and I accidentally spilled a container of glitter all over the carpet in my scrap room. I cried then. But it was under certain circumstances that are excusable in my book. lol) Anyway, I entered and its out of here. Cant wait till March!

Oh and I owe my whole motivation and getting through it all to my good funktified friend Jamie. We have had many a goofy night working on our entries together. Both in person and online through Aolinstantmessenger. I like to say it fast like one word when I dont use the phrase "aim." yes, I'm a dork I know. It really helped the process, you know, me staying sane. Thanks Jamie, you are awesome. And I plan on paying you back by splitting half my winnings with you. that last part was an overexaggeration. Ill buy you some red Tim Holtz tonic scissors. (the ones in that picture above) it's the thought that counts, right? She deserves it, she puts up with my missing Os. : ) plus those scissors just ROCK, thanks Lisa.

Why is it that when I do end up blogging the entry is like, ten years long? well, just be happy that I'm blogging. Apparently Im really bad at that. Anyway.

This is the love of my life right now. LOVE LOVE LOVE this song AND the video AND the band. and the lead singer, Travis, especially when he winks at you as he's eating the pancakes. *sigh*

I did a page completely inspired by this song, journaling and all, for this incredible kit club. Love it to pieces. the page is cute too. And its just so perfect for this time of year. those cupids KILL me. so freakin cute. Ive been callin them cupe-kids. lol I have a funny story about hearing this song in my dream three weeks ago and then hearing the original later that day thinking Im going crazy. Well thats pretty much the story and its not so funny now that I typed it out loud, so I'll leave out all the little details. Im really good at that you know, the details. In life, in scrapbooking, in writing and perspective. Details, note to self, need to scrapbook about that. 

I blab so much. This shouldnt be called a blog, it should be called a blab. makes more sense for me. Here on out. got it.

So I went here today and it was so nice. Seeing my favorite ladies, talking about exciting things and getting free new stuff that is, well, new. I get to play with some luscious Basic Grey, some awesome Scenic Route, and some really adorable shimmery SEI. Love it all. I got a really cute K&Co shirt which I am wearing right now. well not when you're reading but when I was typing this, and a nifty Ruban Rouge chillin out chair and photo CD holder. Then I got to shop for stuff to go with all of it. Lisa rocks my scrapbooking world, not kidding.

Okay, must put my blabbing to an end. And if you are needing to see some new layouts, my January stuff went up at Story of my Own. That was so fun.
