St. Petersburg, FL. We met for the first time, on a beautiful evening in downtown St. Pete. I sat down in Starbucks, anxious to chat about their wedding day and I caught a beautiful couple in the corner of my eye. I knew it was them. As they were walking up to the door she saw me and my heart immediately throbbed! We got a drink, chatted about how SUPER fun the wedding was going to be (along with the #1 rule for me shooting their wedding - I MUST have fun. Are we perfect for each other or what?!) and then got right to it.
Get comfy, I couldnt help but share them ALL! not really, there were about 800-900, we would be here all day...
He snuck this one in while I wasnt looking, but I grabbed it! Just barely....*swoon*
I could really feel how much she adored him, it is so freaking sweet.
Gorgeous smile...
Barbie and Ken? Seriously.
Im not even sure what he was doing here but I can tell you that I about died, giggling, when this one popped up on my screen. LOVE IT!
Oh. my. gosh. I could KISS them.
Theres just something about garages that makes me happy. Of course, mister wannabe security man came out and shoo'ed us away. Oh well, got my shot! : )
Loving the hearts in trees, I think every tree should have one.
Delici-oso!
Can you stand it!?!
Ill have a slideshow up soon...
I cant even describe how excited I am to shoot their wedding in October. It is going to be beyond beautiful and SO much fun. I have fallen in love with Alani and Ian and feel so blessed to have the honor of capturing the story of their wedding day. My heart is already beating faster just thinking about it!
Alani and Ian, Thank you SO much. I am so glad you were able to come over here for us to hang out together and take some photos of your love! I am ridiculously lucky to be your photographer and highly believe that you two rocketh. : ) Give each other a hug for me! See you in Octobah!
Well, I dont have time to share all about my experience right now...there will be more on that later. BUT I can leave you with a little teaser of what I was up to...
I could have died when I saw this tree. Then he kissed her, and that hand thing...we had a little bit of an ESP thing going on. : )
Chill. Athletic. Sweet. All words that describe Juan so well. Juan is Shelby's lucky boyfriend and when she told me he would want to be a Rep too I almost freaked! Guys are usually SO not into the photography, being in front of the camera, getting their pictures taken thing. or maybe thats just my guy?
Well Juan was just Juan-derful! okay, I know I know, that was SUPER cheesy. I couldnt resist though...it was too easy! He was such a supermodel, so relaxed in front of the camera and really really ridiculously good looking! move over Zoolander! Check it out for yourself:
He's a soccer star at his school and has been playing the sport since he was a little tyke. I think it came out to about 14 years? That is some dedication!
If you look REALLY really closely, you can see me in those BIG brown eyes!
I think this is my fave...hes looking over at his girl camera left. : )
Can you say GQ?
Sorry girls, he's taken.
Showing that chill, laid back side here. It was so easy to pull that personality out!
Dont they make such an adorable couple?
It is so evident that she is just smitten with her guy.
It was such a yucky day out, Im surprised I got any blue sky at all. Must have been their sweet connection that brought it out!
Juan, you were so awesome. Seriously, the best guy Ive ever photographed.
Thanks for such a good time and for making my job so darn easy. I do have to give some credit to my Shelby who helped bring out your awesome personality, but really it was an awesome session. I am so glad you are representing me at one of our local high schools and cant wait to meet all of your friends! (by the way, I never got a chance to tell you how much I ADORED reading your questionnaire! The part about why you think you should be one of my senior reps was awesome! Those are the kind of reps I need!) Thanks SO SO much, I cant wait to see these photos in print.
--------------Hey everyone, Ill be away on a mini trip to Orlando for the next two days so Ill be "out of the office." You may have a slight delay with email and phone responsetime. But I promise Ill have a bunch of photos to share when I return… Hope you all have a great rest of the week! : )
SO things got a little busy and I admit that I forgot about the "random" posts. Today is Tuesday and I have lots to share but for now Ill just leave you with the Tuesday Randomness:
to understand the title, you must watch the video posted in #3.
1. Sometimes I randomly bust out with dance moves in the living room while Nick is watching a movie or playing a video game just to see how long it will take for him to notice. Although, I have a feeling he secretly watches me with his peripherals to see how long I will keep at it. When he finally gives in, we laugh so hard together.
3. Since I watch Spike TV a lot due to #2 I see this commercial a lot. I love it SO much. I seriously get so excited and sit-dance to it! The way the song contrasts the visuals is just so freaking cool! Nick loves it too! This commercial is so cool that it actually makes me want to play the game. : )
4. I am in LOVE with animals. I have a sweet sweet spot for Dogs and wild animals. Nick puts Animal Planet and other random animal shows on pretty frequently and I will become glued to the Television. I really dont like to watch much T.V. but I cant keep myself away from those adorable animals. I just feel like they know it all, they are so fascinating.
5. I have just recently discovered Twitter and Facebook. I mean, I knew about them but Im not big on doing "the newest coolest thing." I was forced to join Myspace by friends and I loathe myspace. So I wasnt really up for trying out facebook since everything is replaced with the newest thing anyways. Well, I love them both! Twitter is just a mini Facebook status program and its always fun to see and share the little mundane things. You can see my twitter status in the sidebar to the right and my facebook link is in the sidebar a little ways down.
6. I love this blog called "indexed." Its like smart people humor. Every entry is wisdom interpreted by an equation, graph or table onto an index card. Sometimes they are so on point its both scary and funny at the same time. She even wrote a book filled with them. The blog is good for a daily dose of random.
7. I am a woman of detail. Obviously, with how long my blog posts always are. Like this one for example. : )
8. Im going to Orlando this week for David Jay's Free to Succeed Tour which I am totally siked about by the way, but I am so sad I wont be able to visit IKEA. IKEA is equally my favorite place to shop next to Target. I dont know what it is but I get this happy feeling when I walk into that place, Ive only been twice but Ive been IKEA crazed through their catalogs for years! I bought this frame when we went there in July, I fell in LOVE with it. This thing pretty much screams my name.
9. I have so many unfinished projects going on right now (like things to do around the house, scrapbooking, etc). I do that a lot. I have a great idea, get started on it, put it aside for the day to work on something more important and never come back to it. There are so many things I want to do right now, if only there were more hours in the day...
10. Ive been wanting this canvas for a really long time. For some reason I just never get around to ordering it. Not a fan of online shopping, except for new camera gear, Im such an instant gratification type of girl.
Ill be back soon with some photos from recent sessions to share!
